Spazju Kreattiv’s cinema is a must visit for all movie buffs. The cinema prides itself in being the only arthouse cinema in Malta, which means that all films screened here are created with an aesthetic and artistic expression, rather than for commercial profit.

If you are looking to experience what goes behind some of the most famous Mediterranean dishes, a cooking session with the MCA is a hands-on, educational and at times romantic alternative to heading to a restaurant or cooking at home. With so many activities happening over the summer coupled with that exhausting heat, it may be hard to remain motivated with your physical goals. However, Projekt Fitness, through their mantra that we are all a work in progress, are pushing people to be their very best.
They have several outdoor activities this summer and they will be back with their beach team sessions at Gnejna Bay. The team meets bright and early on Saturdays and are assigned a partner for the day. During the session the team use various equipment as part of the workout including ropes, tyres, hurdles as well as weights.
If you have never worked out on the beach, it’s a demanding but equally enjoyable way to stay in shape, but also a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s also a great opportunity to make some new friends, as this year the focus will be on teamwork.
Surfing Malta are the windsurfing kings in Malta. They are based at Ghadira Bay, Malta’s largest beach, and offer windsurfing courses and lessons, accommodating for both groups and private sessions. During summer, Malta has perfect calm waters to practice the sport, and if you’ve never tried it before the experience will allow you adore the Maltese coast from an entirely different perspective.

The guys from the Clueless Comedy Collective know how to throw a stand-up comedy event! They are the only recognized group of comedians in Malta who are throwing gigs regularly. You can catch them in several bars North and South of the island, so be sure to check them out this summer.

Have you ever wanted to be that person to grab a ukulele on the beach and play some of your favorite tunes? Perhaps you have a ukulele running around somewhere in your house and haven’t had the chance to experiment with the instrument? Or maybe you play to entertain friends, but want to level up with other ukulele players?
Well, if any of the above is true, we have the perfect activity for you this summer. The group from Ukulele Malta meet once a week on Tuesdays from 4-6pm at Ghajn Tuffieha, leaving you enough time to enjoy the most beautiful sunset afterwards. It’s a great way to learn a sick new skill this summer which will surely impress your friends.
In most countries chess enthusiasts congregate at parks and other locations to enjoy their favorite pastime. In Malta this will occur every Wednesday at Uncle Matts in Msida. Participants meet up at their old townhouse at 6pm, compete against one another through speed chess, which means that participants will be provided less time to consider their moves.
All participants will be handed a food voucher which can be redeemed at Uncle Matts on the night and cash prizes will be given to the top three competitors. Entrance is free, so all you need to do is come and test your skills against top local enthusiasts of the game.
