XFM 100.2 and the Clueless Comedy Collective has teamed up with the Oyster Lounge to create the biggest, most exciting come-back of Malta’s strongest ever comedy line-up. On Friday 18th June, stand-up comedy night ‘Stand-Up In the South’ will feature comedy giants Chris Dingli, Steve Hili and Malcolm Galea sharing the stage. That’s not all! Since DJ-ing is now illegal, XFM’s Mykill will MC what promises to be an epic one-off funnier than Hili in a mankini. CHRIS DINGLI needs no introduction. A familiar figure treading the boards and gracing the screen, he has a great and distinctive presence across the country and now at the Oyster Lounge. The mighty actor and performer best known for his stage time with the Comedy Knights graces us with his presence (along with the inevitable army of middle-aged Sliema babes who comprise some of his fan base). Ever seen a man with a million different facial expressions? Come to see the master storyteller, the man your mum secretly fancies and, for God’s sake, don’t greet him with the words ‘Isma, you’re that guy off the telly, ta.” Loud, proud and roaring like a lion, STEVE HILI is back with a vengeance. The prodigal comedy son has come screaming back in from London to set the stage on fire WITH ALL HIS CLOTHES ON and not a single hairy bollock in sight. Like Covid, he will have you on the floor struggling to breathe (also how you know he’s tea-bagging you at one of his pantos.) With a comedy career as long as a Maltese traffic jam, Steve is not to be missed. We managed to drag MALCOLM GALEA away from the TV studios to be sassier and bad-assier than ever. He has written plays, featured in magazines and he is not averse to a padded bra (solely for artistic purposes, of course.) For your viewing delight, you are in for a great night as Malcolm shares some of his deepest insights, including how to make friends and influence people… by farting on a plane. Tickets cost EUR 40 for a table of 2 EUR 50 for a table of 4 and EUR 60 for a table of 6. Kindly note that the show is for a 21+ audience only. Doors open at 19:00.
